>Old School Video

>So I found this old track while bumpin some Big Tymers the other day. It made me wonder why the whole vocoder movement popularized by artists such as T-Pain, Kanye and Lil’ Wayne, didn’t happen sooner. Obviously Mannie Fresh was droppin these funky autotuned beats back in the day. Why did it take until circa 2008 for rap to abuse the vocoder? All I know is that I’m glad it didn’t start back in 98 with this album (How You Luv That Vol. 2), and just goes to show people were doing shit in the south long before the nation took notice. Listen to this track with a tight verse from a young Bun-B.
